Turney Mohamed
Founder & CEO
Turney Mohamed is the Founder and Managing Director of Fidelity bringing over four decades of experience spanning engineering, apparel manufacturing, corporate leadership, and international trade.
He was educated at St. Thomas’ College and graduated with Honours in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology, UK, completing a Diploma in Industrial Studies alongside his degree. He later earned a Diploma in Advanced General Management through executive programs conducted by NUS Singapore and Stanford University, USA, and holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Turney began his career at the Hayleys Group, Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate, where he rose to senior leadership roles, ultimately serving as Managing Director of four key subsidiaries: Haycolour, Hayleys Textiles, Hayleys Interlinings, and Hayleys Apparels. He subsequently served as CEO of Celebrity International – South Asia, a leading manufacturer of newborn and infant garments.
In 1996, he founded Fidelity and has led the company as CEO and Managing Director since its inception, guiding its growth into a trusted apparel sourcing and manufacturing partner for international brands.
In addition to his executive career, Turney has contributed extensively to industry leadership and policy. He served as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Association (2007/08), as a member of the Executive Committee of the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), and was appointed by the President of Sri Lanka to the National Apparel Advisory Committee (2007/08).
Today, Turney continues to guide Fidelity with a clear strategic vision, a commitment to operational excellence, and a strong focus on building long-term, responsible, and sustainable partnerships
