Pemsiri Fernando

B. Nimal Pemsiri Fernando is a seasoned apparel manufacturing professional with over three decades of hands-on experience across production, factory operations, and supply chain execution.

Educated at St. Sebastian College, Moratuwa, he began his career in the apparel industry in 1984 at Oxford Garments Stores. Over the course of his career, he has held a wide range of progressively senior operational roles, including Cutting Manager, Production Manager, Sample Room Manager, Factory Manager, Head of Operations, and ultimately Head of Production.

Pemsiri has contributed to several well-established garment manufacturing operations in Sri Lanka and has also worked internationally as a Factory Manager in Syria, gaining valuable exposure to diverse production environments and global manufacturing standards.

He has complemented his extensive practical experience with formal industry training. He completed Pattern Cutting & Grading at C.I.T.I. in 1985, followed by Production Organization & Management at the University of Moratuwa in 1994. In 2013, he further strengthened his leadership and training capabilities by completing a Production Management and Train-the-Trainer program conducted by the International Apparel Training Consultancies (IATC). He also worked with Trend Setters during 2007–2008.

With deep expertise across stores management, cutting, production planning, quality control, and packing, Pemsiri brings disciplined execution and operational rigor to Fidelity’s manufacturing platform. He currently serves as Head of Production at Fidelity Sri Lanka, overseeing factory operations and ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
